The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) provides direct and indirect patient care, specific to the age of the patient population served in the medical clinic. They work directly under the Physician or Advanced Practice Provider (APP) license, communicate with the Physician, APP, or nurse about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including the results of diagnostic studies and symptomology.

They are able to perform general nursing duties with adequate supervision, and participate in performance improvement activities. They ensure that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the Madisonhealth standard of care. They demonstrate performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the clinic and organization. They remain flexible to changing systems and are expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice.

They treat staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect.

• Full Time
• Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
• Benefit eligible

• Certification:
  Must maintain a current certification if CMA.
• Must demonstrate exemplary care of patient and respect for medical providers and co-workers.
• Knowledgeable in medical terminology.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and basic Windows based programs.

• A minimum of one year of work experience in a medical office is preferred.

• High school diploma.
• Graduate of an accredited school.
