OverviewMountain View Hospital is looking for a MA/CMA/LPN to join our team.
Job SummaryResponsible for assisting physician with patient care, clerical and clinical duties. Convey a positive image of the clinic. Collect, process routine testing, and return results to the doctor. Provide good customer service on the phone, with patients, doctors and other medical staff. Work well under pressure and prioritize. Perform CLIA waived moderate testing. Coordinate patient referrals, pull charts, file, clean and wrap instruments, stock rooms, reconcile labs, room patients, take vitals and collect patient history.
Manage healthy connection referrals/eligibility, collection calls, prior authorizations, check patients in/out at the front desk, collect pertinent information, collect and process payments, scanning and discharging, answer phones, post charges, some coding/billing, medical records, blood draws and injections.
- Assist physicians with patient care and related clerical tasks.
- Process routine testing and return results to physicians.
- Provide strong customer service to patients, families, and staff.
- Take vitals, collect patient history, and manage patient flow in the clinic.
- Prepare and handle instruments, stock rooms, and maintain clinical environment.
- Support referrals, prior authorizations, check-in/check-out processes, and basic billing tasks.
- Perform CLIA-waived/moderate testing as appropriate.
- Collaborate with providers, nurse manager, and coworkers on patient condition updates.
- Experience: 6 months medical experience; 2-5 years clinical experience preferred.
- Education/Certifications: BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications within 60 days of hire.
- Certification pathways: Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse as appropriate with current Idaho credentials.
- Education/Certifications (Specific roles): Current, unencumbered Idaho Medical Assistant Certificate for CMA role;
Current, unencumbered LPN Idaho license with IV therapy and drug administration certifications within 60 days of hire. - Equipment/Technology: Basic computer knowledge.
- Other: Mathematical skills to calculate drug dosing and IV drip rates; ability to concentrate for extended periods; strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution abilities.
