Madison Memorial Hospital (MMH) is seeking to hire a dedicated and detail-oriented Admitting Clerk to complete the admission information into the Cerner Patient Accounting System. The incumbent will be required to maintain a high level of accuracy while pre-certifying appropriate hospital admissions, verify eligibility for patients using various applicants available from insurance carriers, and pre-admit all patients that are scheduled on the hospital scheduling system.

Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: keeping recurring and off-site files current, working discharge disposition reports, helping with interviewing and training, and completing inpatient insurance authorization. The Admitting Clerk is the first patient contact with MMH and requires a level of professionalism in keeping with the values of Integrity, Respect, and Caring.

  • Previous Admitting/PBX experience, preferred
  • Previous Cerner experience
