C & B Operations with 36 John Deere dealerships in six states offers a Field Service Technician position located in Rexburg, Idaho. The role involves performing repairs to equipment at customer and company sites, installing new equipment and components, and operating a company service truck.

Qualified applicants must successfully complete a pre‑employment drug test and background check. C & B Operations, LLC is a drug‑free workplace.

Essential Duties
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural or outdoor power equipment at customer sites
  • Use test equipment to analyze, evaluate, and locate problems, consulting with customers and supervisors as needed
  • Participate in required training programs to develop skills and knowledge
  • Complete all job notes and forms required for work assignments
  • Write service reports, accurately log time, and submit cards promptly
  • Report warranty situations in complete detail
  • Maintain current product knowledge of John Deere and competing products
  • Ensure accuracy of work orders by charging parts and labor to the correct segment
  • Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
  • Work in the presence of customers in a manner that preserves the company’s reputation
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, working safely at all times
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Diesel Technology, or a Diesel Technology certificate (preferred but not required)
  • Experience using computers for diagnostics and documentation
  • Ability to meet physical demands required for the role (sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling)
  • Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing agriculture, construction, off‑road or heavy equipment
  • Experience using test equipment and tools to analyze, evaluate, locate, and repair problems
  • Availability for overtime work or overnight travel to jobsites as needed
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
