Role Overview This organization is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Solutions Developer 3 to support the final phase of an ongoing database migration. The successful candidate will analyze existing business intelligence solutions and develop modified or new solutions utilizing data stored in Databricks. This hands-on, execution-focused role involves close collaboration with analysts, developers, and data engineers on agile sprint teams to port and support reporting solutions.

The primary objective is migrating Transact-SQL queries to Databricks SQL to ensure long-term supportability and successful completion of the initiative.

Key Responsibilities
* Migrate existing Power BI solutions to utilize data stored in Databricks.
* Convert Transact-SQL logic to Databricks SQL.
* Support the remaining Databricks migration workload within the six-month engagement.
* Collaborate on agile sprint teams with analysts, developers, and data engineers.
* Handle a significant volume of development work with limited ramp-up time.
* Partner with peers and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
* Prepare for and participate in formal design and code reviews according to organizational standards.
* Participate in robust testing methodologies to ensure the functionality and integrity of reporting solutions.
* Maintain strict adherence to corporate policies and privacy regulations, including HIPAA.

Required Qualifications
*
* Education:

** A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is preferred.
*
* Experience:

** A minimum of 4 years of database development experience is required, with a maximum of 10 years of experience. A preferred range of 4 to 8 years of database development experience is desired.
** Technical

Skills:

** Two or more years of experience writing SQL queries in both Transact-SQL and Databricks SQL. Strong hands-on development skills using Power BI to connect to Databricks. Familiarity with relational database concepts and constructs in Microsoft SQL Server and Databricks. Previous experience supporting a data-platform or reporting migration is required.

Preferred Qualifications
* Demonstrated ability to quickly understand existing reports, queries, and business logic.
* Strong communication skills when identifying issues, blockers, or migration concerns.
* Experience sharing lessons learned from prior database migrations to improve team efficiency.
* Previous experience within the healthcare sector or with healthcare data systems.
