Sr Structural Designer

Position Summary

The senior structural designer is responsible for developing innovative eye–catching Point of Purchase Displays for our customers, including high‑quality prototypes, mock‑ups, cutting dies, and mentoring junior staff.

• Works closely with the Creative Director to develop innovative creative solutions for our customers.
• Requires limited guidance after the initial kickoff meeting when developing complex designs, considering materials, manufacturing capabilities, and budget limitations; prepares files for prototypes, mock‑ups, and cutting dies for production.
• Analyzes structural integrity to ensure that the display performs optimally in the field.
• Evaluates customer renderings or CAD files and provides possible improvements in style, function, and appearance.
• Maintains effective time‑management on multiple projects.
• Mentors junior structural designers, providing technical expertise and guidance on design principles and best practices.
• Follows all guidelines and best practices regarding quality control procedures.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety, organizational skills, and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Creative Director.
• Rendering capabilities are a plus.
• Remains up to date on all industry trends involving Display and POP Creative, production, and design software.
• Ensures that company policies, standards, and procedures are met, followed, and maintained in accordance with established policy (e.g., OSHA and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local laws).
• Maintains confidentiality of financial information and other sensitive and confidential information.

Bachelor's Degree in Product Design or Packaging Design related field or equivalent work experience is required.

• 10 years in a relevant previous role in Point of Purchase design.

Proficient in Artios

CAD, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino 3D.
