YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead UX Designer to join our team. In this role, you’ll guide the design of complicated and expansive user experiences for our digital products that need to be intuitive, accessible, engaging, and performant. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, business partners, and other designers to solve complex problems and turn them into elegant, user‑centered solutions.

At this level, coordinating with teams of teams and driving alignment on complex experiences will be critical.

• Understanding the motivations and needs of our millions of customers
• Collaborating with business and brand partners to create technology, capabilities, and processes that allow for efficient set‑up, monitoring, and management of their digital experiences
• Advocating for the learnability, efficiency, memorability, and desirability of new or enhanced features and functionality across the breadth of the user journey
• Advocating for—and designing within—a systems‑based methodology that allows for configurability, customization, and specialization of re‑usable components that enables scalability and quality.
• Incorporating an ever‑expanding and maturing set of tools and processes powered by AI to help us more efficiently and effectively bring our ideas to life

• Lead and execute initiatives that can span across our entire shopping experience
• Support and evangelize our systems‑based design system by being a key contributor to its content, structure, and processes
• Mentor and model best practices in design, our culture, and our rigor and craft
• Drive continuous product improvements by researching and rapidly designing iterative functional solutions to enhance the user experience leveraging our design principles, standards, and best practices
• Lead collaborative working sessions with cross‑functional partners to identify and define what problems we are trying to solve and how best to solve them
• Use, contribute to, and advocate for a systems‑based design methodology that is designed to support co‑branded implementations of our solutions
• Support user research and testing by gathering assumptions and writing hypotheses, contributing to questions and scenarios for tests with the Research team, and observe sessions to help extract key learns for both your area of focus and the user journey at large
• Access, understand, and utilize site data and metrics to help validate the success of an implemented design and to inform new solutions
• Work side‑by‑side with developers to build and validate all visual/functional enhancements
• Present solutions to cross‑functional and brand partners, clearly articulating the UX design principles and methodologies that informs the work
