- Program and optimise the mill's process instrumentation and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
- Improve reliability of mill systems and support maintenance and operation teams.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing data collection and process issues, providing solutions.
- Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and drive continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain production instrumentation and controls; lead change requests for system extensions.
- Manage DCS optimisation for efficiency and productivity.
- Assist operational leaders and vendors for procurement and service arrangement.
- Attend meetings, produce logs, plan activities, and coordinate projects.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Paper science, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2‑5 years experience as Process Control Engineer in an industrial setting.
- Experience in reliability improvement and continuous improvement tools.
- Familiarity with pulp and paper mills preferred.
- Knowledge of DCS/QCS and data historian systems like Proficy preferred.
- Full‑time U.S. work authorization required.
- Ability to work regular hours and additional shifts (weekends/holidays) as needed.
- Capacity to perform typical production tasks – prolonged standing, walking, lifting (≤50 lb). Required PPE.
- Strong written and verbal communication plus team‑work skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
