Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking an INPATIENT REGISTERED NURSE (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) departments within our Critical Care Team.
At Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital, our nursing team collaborates with providers, therapies, respiratory, dietary, pharmacy and more to provide exceptional care to patients who live or visit our Northwoods communities. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled RN to join our dynamic team in the ICU and IMC. In this role, you will provide critical care to patients experiencing life‑threatening conditions and/or requiring intensive monitoring.
The RN is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence‑based practice. A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data.
Hours:
Full Time or 0.9 FTE, 72 hours every two weeks. Night shift, every 3rd weekend, every 3rd holiday.
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU and/or IMC, monitoring vital signs and ensuring comfort and safety.
- Administer medication and treatments prescribed by providers.
- Collaborate with providers, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and care plans in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly and effectively to changes in patient conditions, demonstrating critical thinking and decision‑making skills.
- Participate in the development of care plans, including discharge planning and follow‑up care.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during stressful times.
- Active involvement in department process improvement.
