Friendly Village Nursing & Rehab, a skilled nursing facility in the Eden Senior Care Network, is now hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation services in one or more of our service locations.

PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- To provide quality Occupational therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.
- To evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation and conduct specialized evaluations as indicated.
- To supervise and direct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in the implementation of the treatment plan.
- Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
- Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
- Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
- Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals.
- Proven working experience as occupational therapist.
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy.
- Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools (e.g., Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale).
- Valid license to practice occupational therapy.
- BS degree or greater in occupational therapy.
