Friday, Saturday, & Sunday - 12‑hour static shifts (Nights 6:00pm – 6:00am)
- On‑call rotation
- Wages: $20.00 – $30.00/hr (dependent on experience)
- Shift differential: $2.50/hr
- Provide support for emergency or unplanned repairs of production equipment and auxiliary systems.
- Troubleshoot basic to complex mechanical and electrical issues; identify root causes and implement recommendations to improve reliability.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production and support equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and schematic prints (electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical) to perform required maintenance and service.
- Record and submit accurate work order data and parts usage using the CMMS system.
- Assist or support contractors on major installation or retrofit projects.
- Follow Electrical Safe Work Practices as outlined by NFPA 70E.
- Work as a team player to achieve consistent output goals.
- Maintain a safe workspace and commit to following CNG’s Safety Mission.
- Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration.
- Follow company guidelines and actively participate in all safety processes.
- Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
- Report and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors promptly.
- Produce quality materials to be distributed to customers.
- Maintain production volume and efficiency.
- Identify needed changes and make recommendations for improvement.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed.
- 1–3 years of plastic extrusion experience preferred.
- Training in industrial maintenance, machine repair, automated systems, or similar trades desired, along with 2+ years of verifiable work experience.
- Experience with PLCs, drives and industrial controls desired.
- Ability to work with measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, etc.
- Strong technical/mechanical aptitude.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, pull and lift throughout a 12‑hour shift (lift limit 65 lbs).
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong communication skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Regularly required to stand most of the 12‑hour shift on a cement production floor.
- Frequent use of arms and hands for reaching, handling, and feeling; repetitive lifting/moving up to 65 lbs.
- Must be able to routinely climb stairs and work safely around hot surfaces and rotating equipment.
- Required to talk and hear; vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Exposed to seasonal temperature/humidity changes up to 100°F.
