Production Manager
Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Press Manager position for their Rhinelander facility. This position reports to the Production Manager.
ResponsibilitiesChampion plant safety by engaging personally and through departmental leadership to drive safety compliance, improvement projects, and associate engagement.
Develop front‑line production leaders and departmental culture by applying the Printpack Core Values and Expectations of Leaders.
Efficiently manage the production function by following established production schedules to maximize the utilization of equipment and associates within the department.
Uphold standards and drive out defects to improve product quality.
Provide coaching, performance reviews, and performance feedback to associates to ensure all performance goals of the plant in relation to 5S, safety, waste, quality, and productivity are achieved.
Improve upon existing methods, procedures, and standards or initiate new ones to maximize production quality and minimize waste without jeopardizing safety.
Partner with the Continuous Improvement Manager to transform the Production function through the Performance (Continuous Improvement) System.
Develop and execute staffing plans combined with talent development to achieve performance goals.
Track production performance through reporting and visual management tools to support Printpack's Key Success Factors.
Experience leading a production department
Hands‑on experience with positive results in a continuous improvement environment
A Bachelor's or Engineering degree is considered a plus. In a field that is compatible with the position requirements or equivalent experience
Good communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal
Demonstrated success in influencing up and down the organization
Engaging personality with strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge and communication of statistical methods and financial drivers
Ability to work with manufacturing and non‑manufacturing associates
Strong organizational and follow‑up skills, along with the ability to drive and/or maintain short and long‑term projects
Ability to react quickly and logically to manufacturing issues or problems
Time scheduled to allow for interaction with all shifts
