Location: Rumford
Overview

This position reports to the Engineered Systems Engineering Manager and supports the department by designing custom igus cable carrier systems and components, creating and reviewing documentation, and providing technical support to the sales team. Collaborates across departments and contributes to sales initiatives and project coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Review and qualify incoming projects.
  • Participate in design reviews and customer meetings.
  • Design and modify parts to meet application requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to design standards and support technical development.
  • Prepare and distribute project proposals.
  • Create and verify system drawings and bill of materials.
  • Support sales teams with project-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate with CAD, production, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
  • Manage part number creation, order entry, and track deliveries from domestic and international vendors.
  • Perform quality control on custom parts.
  • Contribute to departmental standards and workflow improvements.
  • Assist with installations and inspection services.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to wear safety gear during site or warehouse visits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • Strong technical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Works).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally for inspections, installations, and support.
