Join the Gold Standard Team

At Assured Quality Homecare (ASQ), we know that exceptional care doesn't stop on Friday afternoon. Founded by a hospice nurse, ASQ was built on a simple promise: support our care professionals so they can deliver relief and peace of mind to clients and their families.

If you are a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) seeking full-time or part-time hours with an agency that respects your weekend availability, maintains clear communication, and treats caregiving as a respected profession, we would love to have you on our team.

What You'll Do

As a Weekend CNA Caregiver / Home Care Professional, you will provide personalized, one-on-one personal care and essential daily living support to older adults in their home environments. You will play a vital role in keeping clients safe, comfortable, and independent throughout the weekend.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene with dignity, respect, and privacy.

  • Mobility & Transfers: Supporting safe walking, positioning, transfers, and prescribed physical exercises.

  • Meal Preparation: Cooking nutritious, balanced meals and encouraging proper hydration.

  • Routine Support: Providing timely medication reminders, completing light housekeeping, and managing laundry to maintain a safe home environment.

  • Companionship: Engaging clients in meaningful conversation, light activities, or hobbies to support social well-being.

  • Care Plan Execution: Carrying out each client’s individualized care plan accurately during every weekend visit.

  • Observation & Reporting: Promptly identifying and escalating any cognitive, physical, or environmental changes to the ASQ care coordination team.

  • Documentation: Completing clear, accurate, and timely electronic shift notes directly following each visit.
Qualifications
  • Rhode Island Licensing Requirement: Active Rhode Island Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing (mandatory before working independently with clients). (Connecticut CNA training pathways are available through Empower Training Academy for candidates looking to cross-license or work in CT).

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Technology: Basic smartphone proficiency to access client schedules and log shift documentation.

  • Transportation: Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance.

  • Core Requirements: Ability to work independently in home environments, maintain strict client confidentiality, and pass required background and health screenings.

No previous caregiver training? Selected applicants may qualify for our Personal Care Aide Training Program (CT only) or Nursing Assistant Training Program (RI only) through Empower Training Academy. Rhode Island applicants must complete the required CNA training and licensing process before working independently with clients.

Who Thrives at ASQ

ASQ A-players are dependable, self-motivated professionals who take ownership of their work. You will thrive on our team if you demonstrate:

Integrity: Arriving punctually for every scheduled shift, respecting client confidentiality, and logging accurate documentation.
Compassion: Treating every client with genuine warmth, active listening, and respect for personal dignity.
Dedication: Following care plans thoroughly and maintaining high care standards through the end of every shift.
Resourcefulness: Solving day-to-day challenges calmly and knowing exactly when to elevate clinical or physical concerns to supervisors.
Coachability: Welcoming constructive feedback and actively looking for ways to grow professionally.
