As the Vice President of Software Development for Lottery Solutions, you will provide strategic and technical leadership for the development and implementation of innovative software solutions for the lottery industry. This role involves collaborating with business, product, and other technology teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure lottery platforms and applications.

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the software development roadmap and strategy for lottery solutions, aligning with overall business objectives and driving innovation.
• Technical Vision and Architecture: Provide technical vision and leadership, ensuring that software designs and architectures align with industry best practices, enterprise standards, and lottery-specific requirements (e.g., security, compliance).
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing software development team, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and collaboration. • Technology Trends and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends (e.g., blockchain for transparency, AI for insights, cloud platforms) to inform product development and maintain a competitive edge in the lottery market.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to all relevant legal, regulatory, and security compliance requirements for lottery systems and applications.
• Budget and Vendor Management: Manage the software development budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation, and manage relationships with external software vendors.
• Quality Assurance and Testing: Champion robust quality assurance and testing practices to ensure the reliability, stability, and performance of lottery solutions.

Experience:

• Extensive experience in software development, with a strong focus on leadership and managing complex projects.
• Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in senior technology leadership roles.
• Experience leading large global teams and working with cross-functional teams, including remote teams.
• Ideally, 7+ years of experience in developing solutions for high-volume, regulated industries (e.g. lottery, gaming, banking, e-commerce), with a deep understanding of systems hardware, cloud platforms, network communications, and potential experience with state or local government agencies.

Technical

Skills:

• Deep technical knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Dev Ops).
• Expertise in relevant programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, Angular), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and database systems (Postgre
