Associate Manufacturing - Nights (Downstream)
Join Amgen as a Manufacturing Associate on a 12‑hour shift (7 PM–7 AM) (C Shift). The role supports the production process by operating equipment, maintaining production records, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
What You Will Do- Operate equipment and perform operations in the manufacturing area under general supervision.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and monitor critical processes.
- Create and revise manufacturing procedures, SOPs, and technical reports.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and review documentation.
- Participate on cross‑functional teams and represent the manufacturing team.
- Own deviations and CAPAs.
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to routine functions.
- Perform operations in the manufacturing area under general supervision.
- Operate equipment and observe SOPs.
- Assist with troubleshooting and documentation review.
- Contribute to cross‑functional teams and CAPA ownership.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- High school or GED plus 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience, OR associate’s degree plus 6 months of manufacturing or operations experience, OR bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
- Experience with large‑scale biotechnology operations (purification, chromatography, TFF cell culture, aseptic processing).
- Knowledge of single‑use systems, CFR, and regulatory compliance.
- Mechanical ability/expertise and basic statistical/mathematical skills.
- GMP knowledge and understanding of analytical methods for manufacturing.
- Technical writing and project management skills.
- Basic troubleshooting of production equipment and experience with Delta‑V.
- Lab equipment and testing knowledge.
