Location: Slatersville

Quality Auditor: Split Shift 5:00am-1:30pm, Quality $16-$18/hr, $2.00 SD

Position Summary: The Quality Auditor is responsible for ensuring that products meet Silgan, Slatersville customer specifications.

Functions:

Performs first piece inspections using various inspection techniques and instruments.

Follows the quality plan and applicable procedures related to quality, manufacturing, and safety.

Reports any unusually high percentage of defective parts.

Conducts in-process audits to visual standards and determines product conformance.

Identifies inspection status for non-conforming products and reviews prior production.

Ensures conformance to molding line clearance and order packet information.

Assists operators in training and development in quality and decision-making.

Maintains a neat and orderly work area, keeping walkways and aisles clear.

Performs housekeeping duties such as sweeping and trash removal.

Performs other duties as assigned when primary tasks are not available, based on skill and availability.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.

Solid understanding of test equipment.

Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience.

Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to analyze and interpret information effectively.
