* PURPOSE:

** The Receiver will be responsible for managing the intake of materials, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various team members.

* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

**
* ** Material Receiving:
** Accurately receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of lumber and related materials, ensuring that quantities and quality meet specifications.
* ** Inventory Management:
** Maintain accurate inventory records, including logging received materials in the inventory management system and reconciling discrepancies.
* ** Quality Control:
** Conduct quality inspections of incoming materials to identify defects or issues and coordinate with suppliers for returns or customer replacements.
* ** Documentation:
** Complete necessary paperwork for received materials, including packing slips, invoices, and quality assurance reports.
* ** Organization:
** Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring that materials are stored properly to prevent damage and facilitate easy access.

* Collaboration:

** Work closely with the sales, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure timely processing and distribution of materials.
* ** Safety Compliance:
** Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.

JOB DUTIES:

*** All other duties – Perform all other duties as assigned including carrying out responsibilities, performing duties, using skills, and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasks## Qualifications
** COMPETENCIES/SKILLS***:
** Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in receiving and recording materials.
* Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software.
** PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS &

WORKING CONDITIONS:

*** Ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 80lbs
* Stand, sit, bend, kneel, and repetitive lifting for 8 hrs.
* Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts
* Climb stairs while carrying heavy objects
* Works in inclement weather conditions.

* EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

*** High school diploma or equivalent;
* Relevant experience in a lumber yard or warehouse environment preferred.
* Forklift certification is advantageous.
