The role
As part of the Integrated Engineering Team South Central, you will play a key role in delivering data improvement programmes that support the sustainable management of Natural Resources Wales’ flood risk assets. Your work will help ensure that the information we rely on to manage and maintain vital flood defences is accurate, accessible and fit for purpose.
Working collaboratively with the national Flood Risk Management Assets Team and operational colleagues across Wales, you’ll help drive improvements in data quality, consistency and reliability. By turning complex asset information into meaningful insights, you’ll support better decision-making, improve operational efficiency and contribute to the effective management of flood risk for communities across Wales.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, building strong relationships and making a tangible difference through their work. You will be part of a supportive and knowledgeable team, helping to shape and enhance the data that underpins the management of critical infrastructure and environmental resilience.
A valid driving licence is essential for this role as the successful candidate will be required to regularly travel between multiple sites to collect and verify on-the-ground data. This includes gathering accurate, real-world information to ensure the AMX system remains up to date and reflective of current conditions. You must hold a full and current UK driving license.
As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to the NRW office at the above location and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.
