Job Overview
We are recruiting a part‑time permanent nurse for the Endoscopy Unit at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. The unit operates a 7‑day service and provides a variety of diagnostic, therapeutic and surveillance procedures including gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG insertion, bronchoscopy, EBUS, ENB, and ERCP. The unit also hosts the Bowel Screening Wales Programme.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high‑quality, patient‑focused care with pride and respect.
- Perform and support a range of endoscopy procedures (gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG insertion, bronchoscopy, EBUS, ENB, ERCP).
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Contribute to practice development and participate in training and bespoke courses.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and support colleagues.
Essential Criteria
- Registered General Nurse.
- Registered Operating Department Practitioner.
- Diploma or Degree level or willing to work toward one.
Essential Criteria
- Substantial experience working in a gastroenterology setting.
- Evidence of contribution to practice development.
- Experience in endoscopy nursing.
- Evidence of gastroenterology or endoscopy course.

- Good communication skills.
- Ability to present factual information.
- Ability to maintain accurate patient records.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Evidence of contributing to practice development.
- Knowledge of professional and NHS issues.
- Knowledge related to endoscopy practices.
- Basic IT skills.
- Welsh speaking capability.
