Join to apply for the Project Management Support - Construction, Specialist role at Southern California Edison (SCE). In this position you will support the planning and delivery of distribution projects, ensuring they progress smoothly from scope release through completion. Reporting directly to the Rialto DCP Planning Manager, you will collaborate with a skilled team of advisors, senior planners, and designers to maintain project schedules, generate accurate reports, and uphold data integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Support pre‑construction and construction planning by creating and monitoring action items and ensuring project team members adhere to schedules.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert for tools and systems of record, assisting with data access, training, and system integrity.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams that often include 30 or more members.
- Assist the project manager with progress reports, milestone tracking, metrics, schedules, and budgets; provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Establish, present, and apply project procedures, directives, and bulletins to ensure compliance with SCE policies and procedures.
- Utilize Microsoft Project to maintain sophisticated project schedules.
- Craft and maintain project documentation, including version control, distribution, and document storage within sophisticated document libraries.
- Develop presentations and other project documentation for review by departmental and executive management and executive committees.
- Collaborate with peers and leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend new reporting features or formats.
- Own the organizational SharePoint, One Note, shared drives and system tools, cross‑validating data across various data sources for accuracy and updates.
- Protection of physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, and proper handling of private customer data, is a material job duty of all positions within the Company.
- Two or more years of Project Support experience.
- Experience working in the utility industry, with knowledge of operational and regulatory environments.
- Two or more years of experience supporting construction projects.
- Experience working with construction design work orders.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SAS Project Tracker, and Design Manager (DM).
- Experience and working knowledge with SAP, including navigation and transaction codes for project related functions.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience utilizing advanced Excel functions such as Sum‑Ifs, V‑Lookups, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, and/or Macros.
- Experience providing high‑level analytics, including statistical analysis and visual analytics to understand areas of improvement.
- Experience preparing and maintaining spreadsheets in Excel for tracking work orders, construction, or tasking.
- Experience with the cancellation and close‑out process as it relates to project work orders.
- Experience managing and prioritizing multiple high‑urgency projects simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent internal and external communication and collaboration skills, with experience working on cross‑functional teams.
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Employees must work and reside in the state of California unless otherwise noted.

- The primary work location for this position is Rialto, CA; the successful candidate may also be asked to work at alternate locations and may require up to 20% traveling and field work throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.
