Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from partner companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details
- Hourly pay: $16.90 to $18.90 depending on skills and experience.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- Part‑time position with a variable schedule.
- Average weekly hours: 8–12 hours.
- Availability required a week before and after major holidays, including weekends.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day engagement: use a Hallmark mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Maintain professional interactions with store staff, management, and customers.
- Holiday support: during peak holiday periods (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), expect additional hours and possible weekend work.
- Department resets: assist with installations, fixture relocations, and card section resets. Typically notified two weeks in advance; may involve evenings or weekends.
- Team collaboration: support other merchandisers as needed within the network.
Physical Requirements
Physically demanding: must push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or ladders throughout the workday.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 18 years old.
- In English: read, write, and understand.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
- Proficient with a digital handheld device for reading and processing information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi network and internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores on schedule.
