Facilities Manager – Hospitality Resort

Minimum Requirements

• South African citizen.
• Medically fit and able to perform the duties of the position.
• Maximum preferred age:
  57 years
  , although all suitably qualified and medically fit candidates will be considered.
• One of the following qualifications:
• Trade Test (Electrical or Mechanical), or
• National Diploma (NDip) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or
• BTech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing facilities, maintenance, or utilities.
• Strong knowledge of building services and preventative maintenance.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.

• Manage all building infrastructure, maintenance activities, and engineering services across the resort.
• Ensure uninterrupted operation of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, water, sewage, and utility systems.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Manage contractors, service providers, and maintenance staff.
• Oversee energy efficiency initiatives and utility consumption.
• Ensure statutory compliance with health, safety, environmental, and maintenance regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections and coordinate repairs to buildings, guest facilities, staff accommodation, and public areas.
• Prepare maintenance budgets and control expenditure.
• Source and manage spare parts, consumables, and maintenance contracts.
• Respond to emergencies and minimise operational downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records, asset registers, and compliance documentation.
