About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee industrial facility projects in Richards Bay . This position demands a proactive leader capable of managing complex industrial construction and upgrade projects from conception through to final handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with stringent industry standards and client specifications. This on-site role requires a hands-on approach to project execution and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence within the industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all phases of industrial facility projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards throughout project execution.
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams, external contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays and cost overruns.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical preferred) or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in project management within the industrial sector.
- Experience managing projects related to manufacturing plants, processing facilities, or similar industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of industrial construction processes, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and familiarity with relevant engineering disciplines.
