About the Role
Our client is seeking a proficient Industrial Project Manager to join their operations in Richards Bay, Kwa Zulu-Natal . This role is crucial for managing the successful execution of industrial projects, which may include plant expansions, equipment installations, or facility upgrades. You will be responsible for detailed planning, resource management, risk assessment, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of industrial processes and a solid background in managing complex engineering and construction projects within an industrial setting.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of industrial projects from conception to completion.
- Develop and manage project scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for industrial initiatives.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project operations.
- Implement and enforce stringent health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols on project sites.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry standards.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in managing industrial or heavy engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of industrial processes, equipment, and construction techniques.
- Proven ability to manage project finances, schedules, and site operations effectively.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) or a related technical field.
- Experience with project management software and relevant industry standards.
