Our client is looking for a proficient Aircraft Structures Technician to join their maintenance facility in Richards Bay . This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and airworthiness of aircraft by performing repairs, modifications, and inspections on the airframe structure. You will work with various materials, including metals and composites, ensuring all structural work adheres to strict aviation standards and specifications.
The successful candidate will possess excellent manual dexterity, a strong understanding of structural repair techniques, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced aviation environment.
- Perform structural repairs, modifications, and inspections on aircraft airframes using approved data and techniques.
- Work with a variety of materials, including aluminum alloys, composites, and specialized aerospace metals.
- Read and interpret structural repair manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
- Ensure all structural work is performed to the highest standards of quality and complies with airworthiness directives and regulations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and the work environment in a clean and organized manner.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex structural issues.
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in performing structural repairs on various aircraft types.
- Ability to work with composite materials and traditional aircraft metals.
- Strong understanding of aircraft structural integrity and repair principles.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings.
- Possession of relevant certifications or trade qualifications in aircraft structures is a plus.
