Senior Sound Designer

About the Role

Our client, a leader in the Arts & Entertainment sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Sound Designer for a contract position based in Richards Bay. This role involves creating, mixing, and implementing immersive audio experiences for interactive media and entertainment projects. You will collaborate with game designers, directors, and composers to achieve a cohesive and impactful sonic landscape. • Design, record, edit, and mix high-quality sound effects, ambient audio, and Foley for various media.
• Implement audio assets into game engines or other development platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and achieve the desired sonic vision for projects.
• Manage and organize audio assets, ensuring efficient workflow and integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related technical issues during development and post-production.

• Proven professional experience as a Sound Designer, with a portfolio showcasing exceptional audio work.
• Expertise in digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Cubase.
• Strong understanding of audio principles, acoustics, and psychoacoustics.
• Experience with game audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) is highly desirable.
• Excellent critical listening skills and attention to detail.
