Tax Accountant

Our client is looking for a seasoned Tax Accountant to join their finance department in Richards Bay . This critical role will ensure compliance with all South African tax regulations, manage tax filings, and provide strategic tax advice to optimize the company's tax position. You will be responsible for managing corporate tax, VAT, and other statutory tax obligations. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of tax law and a proactive approach to tax planning and risk management.

• Prepare and submit all corporate income tax returns and provisional tax assessments.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, and other relevant tax legislation.
• Conduct tax research and provide advice on tax implications of business decisions.
• Manage tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities legally.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and advise the business accordingly.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation; BCom Honours or equivalent is preferred.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), SAIPA, or CTA is highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax.
• In-depth knowledge of South African tax laws and SARS procedures.
• Proficiency in tax software and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage deadlines effectively in Richards Bay .
