Our client is seeking a sharp and analytical Risk Analyst to join their established insurance operations in Richards Bay . This role is essential for identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks across the company's insurance products and operations. You will be instrumental in developing risk management strategies, analyzing data to identify trends, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to safeguard the company's financial health and operational integrity within the dynamic Kwa Zulu-Natal insurance sector .
Key Responsibilities- Identify and assess potential financial, operational, and strategic risks facing the organization.
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Analyze large datasets to identify risk patterns, correlations, and potential areas of concern.
- Prepare regular risk reports for senior management, outlining findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and claims departments on risk-related matters.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure the company's risk management practices remain compliant.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk analysis , preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical software or tools.
- Excellent understanding of risk management principles and frameworks.
- Ability to communicate complex risk issues clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience with data analysis and modeling techniques is essential.
