Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client seeks an experienced and strategic Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives in Richards Bay . This leadership role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive security programs to protect organizational data and systems. You will be responsible for managing a team of security professionals, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a strong track record in cybersecurity management, capable of driving security excellence and fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the company.

• Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Develop and execute the organization's overall information security strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee risk management processes, including the identification, assessment, and mitigation of security risks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
• Manage the security budget, resource allocation, and vendor relationships.
• Establish and maintain an effective incident response capability, coordinating responses to security breaches.
• Promote security awareness and best practices across all organizational levels.

• Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; CISSP or CISM certification is mandatory.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven ability to develop and implement enterprise-wide security strategies and policies.
• Deep understanding of security technologies, frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing security incidents and building robust incident response plans.
