About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical FMCG Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations team in Richards Bay, Kwa Zulu-Natal. This role is crucial for optimizing the flow of goods from production to consumers, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain. You will be responsible for analyzing supply chain data, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending improvements to inventory management, logistics, and distribution processes.
The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills and a thorough understanding of supply chain dynamics within the fast-paced FMCG sector.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities in areas such as inventory, logistics, and warehousing.
- Develop and maintain supply chain performance metrics and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, production, sales) and external partners (suppliers, logistics providers) to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in forecasting demand and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer needs while minimizing holding costs.
- Implement and monitor supply chain improvements and initiatives, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain analysis, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and supply chain management software.
- Excellent understanding of inventory management, logistics, and distribution principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
