Supply Chain Coordinator - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to join their operations team in Richards Bay . This role is vital for ensuring the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers, managing inventory, and optimizing logistics within the demanding FMCG environment. You will play a key part in maintaining product availability and minimizing costs through effective planning and execution.

• Coordinate the procurement of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring timely delivery and optimal stock levels.
• Manage logistics and transportation, optimizing routes and carrier selection to minimize costs and transit times.
• Oversee inventory management, conducting regular stock takes and implementing measures to reduce discrepancies and waste.
• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure smooth operations and resolve any logistical issues.
• Process purchase orders, sales orders, and shipping documents accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor supply chain performance metrics and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a supply chain, logistics, or inventory management role, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and ERP systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Richards Bay 's logistical infrastructure and regional trade practices is advantageous.
