Industrial Sanitation Technician

Our client is seeking a diligent and physically fit Industrial Sanitation Technician to join their operations in Richards Bay . This role is critical for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of industrial environments, ensuring the safety of personnel and the integrity of operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and sanitization tasks, using specialized equipment and chemicals.

This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and a hands‑on approach to ensuring a pristine working environment in a demanding industrial setting.

• Perform industrial cleaning and sanitization duties in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines within Richards Bay .
• Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment, such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, and vacuum systems.
• Handle and dispose of waste materials in a safe and compliant manner.
• Apply cleaning agents and disinfectants effectively to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Conduct routine checks of equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Follow strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Assist in maintaining inventory records for cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Respond to immediate cleaning needs or spills as required.
• Adhere to all environmental regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure a clean and safe work environment.

• Previous experience in an industrial cleaning or sanitation role is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate heavy‑duty cleaning machinery.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding manual tasks, including working in various environmental conditions.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in industrial settings.
• Willingness to follow strict protocols and work diligently.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
• Must be based in or able to commute reliably to Richards Bay .
