Plant Operations Manager

Our client is looking for a strategic and experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead their manufacturing plant in Richards Bay . This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, safety, and logistics, to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability. You will drive operational excellence, implement best practices, and manage a diverse team to achieve business objectives.

This is a critical role for an individual who can provide strong leadership and demonstrate a deep understanding of industrial manufacturing processes within the Richards Bay area.

• Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production, cost, and quality targets.
• Manage and optimize all plant processes, including production, inventory, and supply chain.
• Ensure the plant operates in full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the plant management team and hourly workforce.
• Oversee the plant's budget, managing costs and identifying areas for savings.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of operational excellence.

• Extensive experience in plant management or senior operations roles within the manufacturing sector.
• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience managing large teams and complex budgets.
