Join our Gallagher team, now a part of the Cumming Group. This position is responsible for supporting the Superintendent in accordance with corporate policies and procedures to ensure the adequate and timely flow of materials and equipment for the project. The Construction Expeditor performs a wide variety of duties and tasks including managing and coordinating the procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies to the construction site, physical labor, material handling, construction site preparation, equipment operation, and other construction tasks.

Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with the construction team, following directions and contributing to a positive and productive work environment. - Contractor Relations:
Maintain communication with vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors to coordinate orders and deliveries. - Project Coordination:
Understanding of how materials and equipment fit into the broader project plan, and the ability to coordinate with project teams. - Assistance to Contractors:
Provide support to skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, masons, and electricians, by assisting with their tasks. - Site Organization:
Knowledge of maintaining a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials. - Site Preparation:
Assist in site preparation activities such as clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground. - Site Cleanup:
Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. - Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow established safety guidelines. - Materials Coordination:
Coordinate the timely procurement and delivery of construction materials, equipment, and supplies to project sites. - Tracking:
Monitor and track the status of orders, ensuring that materials are sourced, shipped, and delivered according to project timelines. - Logistics Management:
Coordinate transportation, shipping, and delivery logistics to ensure materials arrive at project sites on schedule. - Issue Resolution:
Identify and communicate any delays, discrepancies, or issues in the supply chain, working to resolve them promptly. - Adaptability:
Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing project requirements as needed. - Physical Stamina:
Demonstrate physical stamina and endurance to perform labor-intensive tasks in various weather conditions. - Physical Agility:
Ability to navigate construction sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and move comfortably in confined spaces. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and related documentation for audit and reporting purposes. - Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to optimize the procurement process, reduce lead times, and enhance overall efficiency. - Other duties as assigned.
