The School of Interdisciplinary Studies seeks a part-time University Field Supervisor (UFS) for the Fall semester. UFS are responsible for supervising, mentoring, and interacting with pre-service teacher candidates, campus principals, and their cooperating/host/mentor teachers as prescribed by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). They evaluate and observe pre-service candidates, providing high-quality feedback to facilitate actionable improvements. UFS are also expected to collaborate with TDC faculty and staff, attend all UFS meetings, participate in candidate seminars, and meet regularly with their cohorts.
Additionally, they must complete all TEA and TDC documentation related to pre-service candidates.
Minimum Qualifications :
An earned graduate degree relevant to the academic discipline or topic, along with a record of productivity and professional achievement.
Preferred Education and Experience :
A Master's degree in Education or a closely related field. Texas certification in elementary (EC-6), secondary (4-8 and/or 7-12) content areas, and/or Texas principal certification, with at least five years of teaching experience with children in EC-6, 4-8, and/or 7-12.
