At PDS Tech Commercial, we’re seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the deployment of secure, high-performance networks that power cutting-edge automation and AI-driven operations.
Your ImpactAs a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll architect and maintain mission-critical IT and OT networks, enabling seamless communication from enterprise systems down to sensor-level equipment. You’ll play a key role in transitioning the site to a domain controller authentication model and deploying Special Use Networks (SUN) to safeguard manufacturing operations.
What You’ll Do- Support on‑premises network infrastructure from SD‑WAN to sensor‑level communications
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enable equipment integration and automation
- Design and deploy Special Use Networks to isolate critical manufacturing systems
- Troubleshoot network performance across IT/OT layers
- Implement new network technologies including switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Participate in cross‑functional meetings to resolve infrastructure issues
- Attend daily tier meetings to provide network updates and support
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards
- Maintain detailed network documentation and change logs
- Monitor network health, performance, and capacity using appropriate tools
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
- 5+ years supporting enterprise and industrial network infrastructure
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco network and equipment
- Strong background in factory‑floor networking and IT/OT collaboration
- Proficient in network fundamentals: firewall configuration, VPN, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, routing, switching
- Experience with QoS, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies
- Familiarity with Dev Ops network operations (CI/CD, IaC, monitoring pipelines)
- 2+ years of Power Shell scripting
- 1+ year of experience with Service Management platforms (e.g., Service Now)
- Strong documentation skills for network architecture and automation
- Advanced Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
- Experience with multi‑vendor equipment (Cisco, Arista, Dell, Palo Alto)
- Familiarity with network patching tools and security hardening
- Experience with modern data recovery platforms (Rubrik, Veeam, Commvault, Zerto)
- Understanding of IT/OT convergence and industrial protocols
- Knowledge of industrial network architectures (DMZs, secure remote access, redundancy)
- Proven ability to drive change and collaborate cross‑functionally
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
- Highly self‑motivated and capable of working independently
