Cash Application Analyst OverviewThe Cash Application Analyst accurately processes and applies customer payments to the Lennox accounting system, reconciles discrepancies, resolves payment issues, and maintains accurate financial records to optimize cash flow.
Responsibilities- Accurately post customer payments from checks, ACH transfers, credit card, and wire transfers to the appropriate customer accounts.
- Match customer payments with invoices and identify discrepancies between received payments and outstanding balances.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies by coordinating with the credit analyst and relevant departments to clarify issues and ensure proper fund allocation.
- Participate in continued cross‑training to broaden knowledge within the Cash Applications Team and support backup coverage for all work functions.
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1–3 years of related experience in accounts receivable or cash application.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Proficiency in accounting principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience with accounts receivable and cash application processes is a plus.
Salary range: $39,000 – $51,500 annually for the market. Employees are eligible for bonus in accordance with the company plan.
