Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to support Therapists/RBTs and clients by filling in for missing team members and minimizing non-billable hours due to grouping or credentialing. This individual will also assist BCBAs as a team leader for clients, serving as a resource for Therapists/RBTs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct ABA therapy, prescribed by a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst, with high fidelity across all client levels and abilities.
- Serve as backup where appropriate, filling in for CA/ACA, COM if absent, and assist BCBA, CA/ACA, COM to allow Leadership to focus on other tasks.
- Act as Team Leader for a group of clients.
- Respond to challenging behaviors when BCBA and COM are unavailable.
- Support BCBA with client program updates and material preparation.
- Organize center materials (toys, furniture, etc.), report safety concerns to CA (broken toys, furniture issues, etc.).
- Coordination of session flow: Advise therapists/RBTs on session flow, assist with client navigation, and schedule center-wide activities like circle time, gross motor activities, snack/lunch, and group activities.
- Organization: Responsible for organizing therapy rooms, toys, and client materials, based on age appropriateness, contributing to overall center organization.
- Safety Checks: Conduct weekly safety walkthroughs, report concerns to CA/ACA, including broken toys, property damage, or unsafe equipment. CA may assist with safety checks and scheduling repairs.
- Customer Service: Engage positively with parents during therapy, modeling effective interactions and contributing to a positive customer experience.
- LEARN Tree: Assist with updating client programming under BCBA guidance and direction.
- Plan Updates: Support re-assessments and initial assessments through observations, material prep, and assisting BCBA.
RBT/Therapists: Contribute or serve as backup for new hire onboarding, training, daily note checks, etc.
Requirements- High school diploma or GED
- Current RBT credential
- RBT V
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Other duties as assigned; BI may modify duties as needed.
