Job Description:
In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Mental Health Technician assists professional nursing personnel in the care of the patient in a manner that considers the safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment, assisting with the activities of daily living, taking vital signs and other indicated specimens or measures, documenting observations, assisting with groups, calls, and treatment planning as needed to contribute to the smooth running of the unit.
Job Requirements
- High school Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification required
- Annual training in management of aggressive patients required
- 2 years of experience in a mental health related field with direct patient care responsibilities required
