IT Project Manager – Waccamaw Management, LLC

The IT Project Manager leads the planning and execution of complex technology initiatives supporting acquisition integrations. This role oversees end-to-end project delivery for initiatives such as email and data conversions, network and telephony transitions, and hardware and infrastructure upgrades. The ideal candidate is an experienced project leader who combines strong technical knowledge with strategic communication and change management skills to ensure seamless transitions across newly acquired entities.

The role resides in the Project Management Office and reports directly to the Vice President of Project Management & Acquisitions.

Location & Work Requirements

Onsite, 5 days a week at our Richardson, Texas location. Travel to a branch may be required, not exceeding 10%.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead acquisition integration projects encompassing email and data migrations, network and telephony upgrades, endpoint and hardware refreshes, and related IT infrastructure activities.
  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, scope statements, status reports, and post‑project evaluations that align with acquisition milestones and business priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including IT operations, security, infrastructure, and business units—to ensure consistent integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Partner with leadership to define project goals, scope, and deliverables that align with organizational strategy and acquisition objectives.
  • Coordinate with external MSPs, internal teams, and newly acquired entities to manage dependencies, resolve technical challenges, and deliver seamless technology transitions.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalated as needed to maintain project momentum and transparency.
  • Oversee the development of migration and cut‑over plans, ensuring successful execution and validation of system and user transitions.
  • Track progress through data‑driven reporting, including dashboards and performance metrics, to communicate status and outcomes to executives and stakeholders.
  • Implement and uphold change control processes to manage scope adjustments and maintain project alignment.
  • Champion best practices in IT project management, integration planning, and post‑acquisition technology alignment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline integration processes and enhance future readiness.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in IT infrastructure or IT‑related environments.
  • PMP or Agile/Scrum certification is a plus.
  • Prior experience with mergers, acquisitions, or enterprise IT transformation initiatives is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage IT projects independently, particularly those involving acquisition integration or large system changes.
  • Strong technical understanding of networking, telephony, hardware deployment, and Microsoft 365 environments (including Exchange Online, Teams, and One Drive).
  • Experience with email and data migrations, infrastructure consolidation, and enterprise IT transitions.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, endpoint management tools (Intune/SCCM), and identity management practices is a plus.
  • Skilled in risk management, stakeholder communication, and executive reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project) and experience using Smartsheet, Microsoft Planner, or similar project management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear business impacts and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, present, and facilitate discussions across technical, business, and executive audiences.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information.
