Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) is looking for a Software Integration Systems Engineer to join their team in Richardson, TX
. This position will serve as an individual contributor for the P‑8A Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) Training Systems Integration and Test team. The Integration and Test team provides software integration for the P‑8A AAS Training Systems which consists of a weapons trainer simulator, electronic classroom for desktop instruction, and a mission planning station. This position will support the software team in the integration of the AAS software baselines, collaborating with software owners to ensure proper device operation after integration.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently in a challenging, fast‑paced environment while collaborating with other teams and the customer, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate will support training devices in Dallas and retrofit devices at customer sites. Our teams are hiring across a broad range of experience levels, including Mid‑Level or Senior Level Engineers.

• Maintain P‑8A AAS training devices operational.
• Integrate locally developed software into the training devices.
• Integrate and troubleshoot software from outside entities, requiring external support for configuration and troubleshooting.
• Install and configure Windows and Linux virtual machines to meet cyber security requirements; install and test monthly patches on the operating systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems to find root cause and collaborate with functional teams to find resolutions.
• Perform scheduled lab maintenance operations and cyber continuous monitoring activities in the labs.
• Integrate, configure, and verify map and radar databases.
• Develop and maintain scripts used to install, integrate, and configure software products.
• Verify device functionality after software integration and cyber updates.
• Support testing of training systems devices.
• Perform data processing of flight data to extract data products for use in the electronic classroom instruction.
• Participate in scrum meetings and use Agile tools for task tracking.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non‑US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
• DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
• 2+ years of experience with Linux Operating Systems.
• 3+ years of experience and competency in troubleshooting, analysis and problem‑solving strategies involving software integration and testing.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced and challenging environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time domestically for remote installations.

• Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with the P‑8A training devices – Weapon Tactics Trainer, Scenario Generation Station, Brief/Debrief Station.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Power Shell, Python.
• Experience working with Agile tools (Jira).
