Job Description:

We are seeking a System Administrator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to customers utilizing Microsoft Azure cloud services. You will work closely with our IT support, security, and operations teams to develop and implement solutions that meet the needs of our business.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in Linux, Azure administration and security, with experience managing and maintaining Linux, Windows servers and Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, and storage, to ensure reliability and performance. In addition, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

In this role, you could expect your primary tasks to include:

• Respond to inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues related to Azure services, and provide timely resolutions.
• Install and configure Linux operating systems and associated software.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and other infrastructure components.
• Implement and manage Azure Active Directory, including users, groups, roles, and policies.
• Implement security best practices and compliance standards for Azure environments, including network security groups, firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Power Shell, Azure CLI, or other scripting tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and management tasks.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive tasks and system administration processes.
• Respond to and troubleshoot incidents, outages, and performance degradation in a timely manner.
• Maintain detailed documentation of Azure configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Share knowledge and expertise with team members through training sessions, workshops, and documentation reviews.
• Integrate on-premises Active Directory with Azure AD for hybrid environments.
• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
• Create and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls according to organizational policies.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proficiency with various Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, Debian).
• Proven experience in administering Microsoft Azure cloud environments, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Security.
• Understanding Linux file systems, processes, and kernel parameters.
• Proficiency in Power Shell scripting and automation tools for Azure management.
• Experience with Azure monitoring and management tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Azure Policy.
• Knowledge of security principles, compliance standards, and best practices for cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix), server hardware, and virtualization technologies.
