Your New Role

As an Electrical
Project Manager at Petri Electric, you’ll oversee electrical construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. Based in Richardson, TX
, you’ll coordinate project strategy, align with field and office teams, track budgets, negotiate with vendors, and ensure every job hits quality and timeline standards.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining detailed construction schedules for electrical work

  • Leading project kickoff strategies and operational plans

  • Managing material orders, permits, and vendor contracts

  • Overseeing field execution and project budget performance

  • Directing submittals, billings, and documentation throughout the project

  • Conducting job site visits to ensure safety, code compliance, and excellence

  • Closing out projects with documentation, commissioning, and client training

  • Leading and mentoring your project team and developing future leaders

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Proven experience managing electrical construction projects from pre-construction to close-out

  • Strong command of NEC code and local/state permitting requirements

  • Proficiency with project management software like Procore, Con Est, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel

  • PMP certification or similar is a plus

  • Strong ability to interpret electrical plans, answer RFIs, and guide field execution

  • Excellent communication, leadership, budgeting, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to mentor, delegate, and develop project engineers and assistants
