Your Role at a Glance

Job Title: Inventory Operations Manager

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role leads all stores and warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, kitting, shipping, and inventory control. You’ll drive best practices in inventory accuracy, ERP utilization, Lean manufacturing, 6S, and team development while supporting manufacturing excellence and safety.

What You’ll Do Each Day
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Stores/Warehouse team to foster accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure accurate and timely receiving, stocking, kitting, shipping, and material handling operations
  • Maintain 98%+ inventory accuracy across finished goods, subassemblies, components, and consignment materials
  • Own daily cycle counting, root cause analysis, and annual physical inventory execution
  • Enforce precise inventory transactions, including shipping, receiving, requisitions, transfers, NCM, and stock purges
  • Ensure alignment between physical inventory and ERP system data
  • Partner with production and scheduling teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow to manufacturing
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to reduce cycle times and eliminate bottlenecks
  • Develop and maintain standardized work instructions and material storage systems
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and 6S initiatives to improve safety, organization, and efficiency
  • Facilitate SQCD and continuous improvement meetings to drive measurable results
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee equipment, material handling tools, and departmental payroll inputs
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma required
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory, stores, or materials operations within a manufacturing environment
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Strong ERP experience required (Macola preferred)
  • Demonstrated success with inventory accuracy programs and cycle counting
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong communication, organization, and team leadership skills
  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to stand and walk the shop floor for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds as needed
