Position Overview We are actively seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coating Specialist to take ownership of our high-volume finishing department. Operating at the heart of our continuous manufacturing process, you will be responsible for applying premium powder coatings to a wide variety of fabricated metal products. Because our facility relies on a continuous, moving conveyor belt system, this role requires exceptional pacing, a steady hand, and a solution-based mindset.

You will serve as the final gatekeeper for quality, ensuring that every product leaving your station is visually flawless and meets all durability standards before entering the curing ovens.

• Daily Workflow and Technical Responsibilities Your shift will begin with a thorough review of the day's production schedule and customer specifications.
• You will visually inspect all incoming raw materials and pre-treated surfaces to verify proper preparation, ensuring parts are free of oils, moisture, or defects before the coating process begins.
• As products move continuously down the automated conveyor line, you will utilize electrostatic spraying apparatuses to apply an even, consistent layer of powder.
• This requires constant spatial awareness and the ability to seamlessly adjust your spraying technique, distance, and angle to match the speed of the moving belt.
• You will be strictly responsible for hitting the exact mil thickness range required for each specific powder type and customer work order.
• When changing between product lines or colors, you will perform rapid and thorough clean-outs of the spray booth, hoppers, and powder guns to prevent any cross-contamination.
• Beyond application, your daily duties include routine preventative maintenance on your equipment, such as replacing worn nozzles, checking ground connections, and troubleshooting minor electrostatic flow issues on the fly so the conveyor line never has to halt production.

• Required Experience and Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must bring a minimum of two to three years of professional powder coating experience within a heavy industrial or fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Most importantly, you must have proven, hands-on experience working directly alongside a continuously moving conveyor belt system; candidates without this specific line pacing experience will not be considered.
• You need to possess a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret basic manufacturing work orders, and a track record of highly dependable, punctual performance.
