OverviewDirect patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, focusing on the pediatric acute and critically ill population. You will lead, evaluate, and document individualized, family‑centered care plans, work alongside multidisciplinary teams, and participate in organizational quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the individualized plan of care.
- Provide high‑quality, age‑specific care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients.
- Participate in MCCH initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position if hired after 6/1/12.
- 3‑6 years RN experience in pediatrics per agreement.
- Ability to work in at least four of the following areas, with at least two requiring critical care: NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonate Resuscitation within 60 months of start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 60 months of start date.
- STABLE certification within 60 months of start date.
