Overview

The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance throughout the manufacturing process. This position is responsible for inspecting and releasing raw materials and finished goods, performing in-process quality checks, and supporting sanitation and GMP programs. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while collaborating closely with Production, Warehouse, and Quality teams.

General

Duties
  • Perform sampling, inspection, and release of raw materials, component packaging, bulk materials, and finished goods
  • Perform sensory evaluations (taste, texture, solubility, appearance) as required
  • Conduct ATP swab testing to verify cleaning and sanitation effectiveness
  • Review and approve each step of the weighing, blending and packaging processes that need Quality approval in accordance with manufacturing records
  • Conduct in-process quality checks (weights, blend uniformity, packaging and label verification)
  • Identify and report non‑conformance and deviations, escalating issues when necessary
  • Manage and maintain product quality documentation and assist with reviewing paperwork
  • Work closely with Production, Warehouse and Quality teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly
  • Participate in investigation of product non‑conformance or customer complaints
  • Provide administrative support such as data entry and filing
  • Coordinate and maintain the calibration of equipment (scales, weights), temperature and humidity sensors
  • Participate in any required quality training (GMP, etc.) and support current QA/QC operations as needed

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Ability to work on your feet.
Knowledge and Skills Preferred

High school diploma or GED

1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, QC or QA preferred

Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) – (food or dietary supplement experience preferred)

Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
