Job Title
Plumber Journeyman – Facilities Management, Richardson, Texas. Regular full‑time position with monthly pay ranging from $55,000 to $65,000 ($26.44–$31.25 hourly), with salary determined by qualifications. Position open until filled, with desired start date December 15, 2025.
Job SummaryProvide journeyman‑level skill in installation and review of all types of plumbing systems, including electrical maintenance/repair of plumbing equipment. Perform installation and repair of plumbing in new construction or remodeling; may serve as lead plumber to a small crew.
Responsibilities- Perform service calls and work orders for university departments, including work from ladders, rooftops, or scaffolding; maintain records and preventive‑maintenance logs.
- Troubleshoot plumbing system problems following operational and maintenance procedures; oversee training of less‑qualified workers.
- Survey buildings and perform maintenance on equipment in a multi‑trade environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment; perform all work in accordance with best safety practices.
- Be available for on‑call and emergency repairs as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License and acceptable driver rating.
- High‑school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Journeyman plumber license in the State of Texas.
- 3–5 years of related experience; 3 years in a lead position.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Education and Experience
- Vocational/Technical Diploma.
- TCEQ Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester certification.
Minimum qualification:
ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code.
