Position Summary: Operate Ready Mix/Concrete Truck safely and efficiently, adhering to Martin Marietta and DOT rules and regulations.

Requirements:

• Perform daily preventative maintenance, record and inspect vehicles, including fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, and fluid checks.
• Use water hoses to clean mixer between loads.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Assist maintenance with repairs as needed.
• Visually inspect the consistency of concrete in the mixer.
• Communicate and direct coworkers verbally via direct communication, radio, or hand signals.
• Provide documentation on delivery tickets, ensuring they are signed and returned.
• Exercise good judgment regarding work site access, unloading, and operation.
• Maintain good customer relations and act professionally and courteously.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Assist in training co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a Class A or B CDL.
• One-year experience operating tandem or Ready Mix trucks preferred.
• Maintain a safe driving record.
• Active DOT qualification.
• Read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Self-motivated.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, reach, squat, stand/walk for prolonged periods, bend, crawl, kneel, push, and pull objects.
• Normal neck range of motion.
• Lift objects of various sizes and weights.
• Operate hand controls and foot pedals.
• Perform overhead reaching and use vibration tools.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work at heights up to 9 feet.

Working Conditions:

• Work is outdoors in various weather conditions, possibly exposed to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.
• Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekdays, and every other Saturday.
